The Coalition of Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations for Elections (CECOE) Ethiopia, supported by CSIF programme, has officially launched Bequ Zega, a new and free‑of‑charge online e‑learning platform designed to make civic education accessible to everyone, providing practical knowledge that strengthens democratic culture, constitutional awareness, good governance, and active engagement.
By expanding quality on-demand educational resources on democracy, governance, and civic responsibility it will help individuals develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to participate meaningfully and contribute to peaceful dialogue, accountable governance, and inclusive development. It also aims to serves as a national platform for civic learning and democratic engagement. This interactive platform provides six core learning areas and available in two local languages (Amharic and Afan Oromoo) and in English.
